The
Kaiser Permanente Community Benefit department and
Community Health Partnership invite interested community
and public health center providers to a FREE Diabetes Clinical
and Medication Management workshop (Module 2). This
two day workshop is for licensed professionals who
are clinically managing adult clients with diabetes.
Topics covered will be:
- Overview
of medication protocols
- Review Oral medications
- Learn ABC's of
diabetes
- Discuss Insulin Therapy
- Apply pattern management
principles to interpret blood glucose results
- Skills lab-
Demonstration of Blood Glucose meters, Novopen, insulin
devices and glucagons
Participants receive 12
Contact hours pending approval by the California Board of
Registered Nursing Provider #CEP13563. Module 2 of the
Diabetes training is intended for RN's, RD's, RPH's, PharmD's working
with adult patients. This training is NOT appropriate for health educators,
we will not be addressing pediatric or gestational diabetes.
Please note that this is the second segment
of a 2-part training. Part one, the Diabetes Update class
(Module 1) is
a prerequisite for this workshop.
